Frequently Asked Questions

Q1What image formats are supported?

All major image formats are supported, including JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and BMP. PNG is lossless and provides the most accurate color data. JPG compression may introduce slight color variations.

Q2Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All image processing runs entirely in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any remote server. Your data always stays on your device.

Q3What is a HEX color code?

A HEX color code consists of 6 hexadecimal characters (e.g. #FF5733). The first two represent the red channel, the middle two the green channel, and the last two the blue channel. It is the most common color representation in web development.

Q4What's the difference between RGB and HSL?

RGB uses red, green, and blue channel values (0–255) that directly correspond to screen display. HSL uses Hue (0–360°), Saturation (%), and Lightness (%) — a more intuitive model for creating harmonious color schemes and making adjustments.

Q5When should I use CMYK?

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is the color model used in print design. If you need screen colors for printed materials, CMYK values help estimate print output more accurately. Note that screen and print colors may differ.
